Producers are pumping 1.21 gigawatts of new cast power into Back To The Future: The Musical as Cory English will now permanently join the cast as Doc Brown following his temporary stint in the role through the winter. Back to the Future has also extended its run at the Adelphi Theatre until at least October 22nd, 2023.
Roger Bart will continue to play 'Doc' up to March 20th before hopping over the pond to reprise the role in the Broadway production of the show.
Cory English will take over as 'Doc' from March 22nd. His previous West End credits include 'Young Frankenstein', 'The Producers', and 'Guys and Dolls'.
The rest of the West End cast of Back to the Future includes Ben Joyce as Marty McFly, Harry Jobson as Biff Tannen, Amber Davies as Lorraine Baines, Emma Lloyd as Linda McFly, Jordan Benjamin as Goldie Wilson, Oliver Nicholas as George McFly, Sophie Naglik as Jennifer Parker, Gary Trainor as Strickland, and Will Haswell as Dave McFly and alternate Marty McFly.
The plot of Back To The Future: The Musical is based on the hugely successful sci-fi film trilogy of the same name and follows the fortunes of Marty McFly as he travels through time from 1985 to 1955 in a DeLorean. To return to his own time, Marty must ensure that his high school-aged parents meet and fall in love again to save his existence.
