Mark Gatiss' comedy, The Unfriend is to return to the West End at the end of 2023 at the Wyndham's Theatre starring BAFTA-winning comedian and actor Lee Mack. The hilarious comedy will play at the venue from December 16th for a limited season until March 9th, 2024.

Mack will play the role of Peter, alongside Sarah Alexander as Peter's wife Debbie, and the star of  Witness for the Prosecution, Nick Sampson as their neighbour. The trio joins Frances Barber (Silk), who reprises her role in the play as Elsa Jean Krakowski.

Speaking of the new appointment, Mack commented: “I’m delighted to be joining The Unfriend with the brilliant Sarah Alexander and the wonderful Frances Barber and of course all the other amazing cast. It’s such a fantastically written play by Steven Moffat that I might even go the whole hog and learn the words.”

The plot of The Unfriend follows a happily married couple Peter and Debbie, who meet wacky American Elsa on holiday, only for her to invite herself to come and stay with them. When the couple suddenly realise that they know next to nothing about her, they decide to look her up and do some research online. Peter and Debbie don't like what they find, but it's already too late. She's on her way.

Mark Gatiss directs the production which features a talented creative team including Mark Henderson on lighting, video designer Andrzej Goulding, and Ella Wahlström on sound.

Booking & Tickets Info For The Unfriend.

The Wyndham's Theatre is a medium size West End theatre located next to Leicester Square station with a capacity of 878 seats.

The theatre is set across four levels and generally has good views available throughout, Each level is both shallow and features extremely raked seating, however, some of the seats at the ends of rows do have minor restrictions.

Premium seats are in the front of the Royal Circle, in the centre of rows B-F that have views that will not be obstructed by audience members in front due to the high rake and offer completely unobstructed views of the stage. The front of the Stalls section is also a good option for intimate plays, although due to the high stage in the venue, it can pay to sit more than three rows back.

Theatregoers on a budget looking to book cheap tickets to The Unfriend can find great value in both the Grand Circle and Balcony which both offer exceptionally clear, although distant, views of the stage. Other value can be found by studying the seating plan to exploit cut-off points in the price bands throughout the theatre and also by sitting towards the ends of rows or further back in the auditorium to bring prices down.
