Rob Madge and Hannah Dodd To Star in West End as Emcee & Sally Bowles in Cabaret
Olivier Award nominee Rob Madge and Bridgerton star Hannah Dodd will star in the West End this summer as the next Emcee and Sally Bowles in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. The duo will join the cast on 29 May.
Dodd will be making her debut in the West End in the production and is best known for her role as Francesca Bridgerton in the Netflix series (where she is currently filming season four), while seasoned stage performer Madge recently starred in the London Palladium's Christmas pantomime and the one-person show My Son’s a Queer (But What Can You Do?) which had sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival, and Turbine Theatre, before transferring to the West End.
The pair join Vivien Parry as Fraulein Schneider, Daniel Bowerbank as Clifford Bradshaw, Fred Haig as Ernst Ludwig, Fenton Gray as Herr Schultz, and Jessica Kirton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie.
The Cabaret cast is completed by Sam Darius, Xenoa Campbell-Ledgister, Andy Rees, Patrick Wilden, El Haq Latief, Damon Gould, Lucy Young, Adrian Grove, Hícaro Nicolai, Alexandra Regan, Justin-Lee Jones, Ela Lisondra, Ben Simon Wilson, Marina Tavolieri, and Anne-Marie Wojna.
Hannah Dodd and Rob Madge's final performance in Cabaret will be on Saturday 20 September 2025.
Rebecca Frecknall's stunning new production of Cabaret opened in 2021 at the revamped Playhouse Theatre - now the Kit Kat Club. Fred Ebb, John Kander, and Joe Masteroff's musical features musical direction by Ben van Tienen, set and costume design by Tom Scutt, wigs and hair design by Sam Cox, musical supervision by Jennifer Whyte, sound design by Nick Lidster, choreography by Julia Cheng, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, and make-up design by Guy Common.
Billy Porter currently leads the show as The Emcee alongside Marisha Wallace as Sally Bowles. The pair will continue in the show until 24 May 2025.
