New Musical 'Killing The Cat' To Open At Riverside Studios

A new romantic musical will open in London this spring.  Killing The Cat will begin previews at Riverside Studios on March 17th, with an official opening night scheduled for March 22nd, and performances running until April 22nd.

The musical follows the fortunes of two single individuals who attempt to make a relationship work. But even as they learn that they are polar opposites, love and lust must work overtime to keep them together. Warner Brown provides the book and lyrics to Killing The Cat which features music by Joshua Schmidt, movement by Lucie Pankhurst, sound design by Oscar Cotran, lighting design by Jamie Platt, and set and costume design by Lee Newby. Jenny Eastop will direct Madalena Alberto and Tim Rogers, with further casting for the production to be announced in due course.

Killing the Cat will showcase at Riverside Studios which is an off-West End venue located close to Hammersmith tube station. The dynamic cultural arts and entertainment complex has now reopened following a 5-year redevelopment and boasts two cinemas, two theatres, a Bakery, Bar & Kitchen, and several rehearsal and event spaces. Also worth noting is the outdoor seating area which is a great place to enjoy its great riverside location.

The theatre itself is intimate with comfortable seating that is close to the stage where you can properly appreciate and immerse yourself in the action. The auditorium has well raked seating with small stairs to each row that has between 18-20 seats with an aisle sitting in the middle. Wheelchair positions are available on each side of the stage in front of the seating bank.
