The world premiere of Clive Judd’s play, Here will take place at the Southwark Playhouse this autumn. Previews of Here will begin on November 11th, with an official opening night scheduled for November 15th, and performances due to run until December 3rd.
Here is set in the West Midlands, and follows the fortunes of a family who remember both the highs and lows that have taken place during their lives. As they attempt to make a future for themselves, the family realise that they are bound by their past actions.
Here was the winner of the 2022 Papatango Prize beating over 1,500 other entries. Previous Papatango winning plays have included 'Old Bridge' and 'Foxfinder'.
George Turvey will direct Hannah Millward, Mark Frost, Lucy Benjamin, and Sam Baker-Jones in Here. The play will feature sound design and composition by Asaf Zohar, set and costume design by Jasmine Swan, and lighting design by Bethany Gupwell.
Performances of Here will begin off West End at the Southwark Playhouse from November 11th. The Southwark Playhouse is a small and intimate venue situated between Borough and Elephant and Castle tube stations. The venue is on one level and has general admission seating so patrons are advised to arrive early to get the best views of the stage when attending productions at the venue.
