MJ The Musical Announces Final Extension At The Prince Edward Theatre
MJ the Musical has announced the final extension to its run in London at the Prince Edward Theatre.
The musical features more than 25 of Michael Jackson's greatest hits and won the Olivier and WhatsOnStage Awards for Best Choreography. It was also nominated for Best New Musical at both ceremonies.
Continuing in the title role will be Jamaal Fields-Green, who is joined by Philippa Stefani, Matt Mills, Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton, KoKo Alexandra, Mitchell Zhangazha, Johnny Bishop, Matt Gonsalves, Michael Conley, Kieran Alleyne, Joshua. C. Jackson, and André Phipps.
The popular musical is choreographed and directed by Christopher Wheeldon and written by Lynn Nottage. Scenic design for MJ is provided by Derek McLane, with projection design by Peter Nigrini, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Gareth Owen, costume design by Paul Tazewell, and hair and wig design is provided by Charles G. LaPointe. The production features both orchestrations and arrangements from Jason Michael Webb and David Holcenberg, and musical supervision by David Holcenberg.
The wider company behind MJ the Musical features Filippo Coffano, Milan Cacacie, Hanna Dimtsu, Tevin Daniel, Ike Fallon, Gabrielle de Souza, Kalisha Johnson, Aden Dzuda, Christopher Gopaul, Darnell Mathew-James, Wilson Kiiru, Buna McCreery-Njie, Miles Jabbie, Jenay Naima, Zayne Tayabali, Rishard-Kyro Nelson, Nay-Nay, Fraser Stewart, George Ross, Lydia Sterling, Tavio Wright, Ari Adebiyi, Zane Chaba, Cristiano Cuino, Asher Swaray-Gray, Charlotte-Kate Warren, Kristiano Ricardo, and Ashton Robertson.
The UK casting is by Natalie Gallacher and Pippa Ailion, with the young performer casting from Amy Beadel.
The production will now run until 28 March 2026 before embarking on a UK tour.
