The Iris Theatre was founded in 2007. Originally, its sole purpose was to produce and present a production of 'Murder in the Cathedral'. The show was such a resounding success that it led to other productions being staged in St. Paul’s Church.
The theatre now runs several programmes, including a masterclass series, a school workshop scheme, and the Workin Process strand showcasing a diverse range of new writing.
The Iris Theatre continues to produce and present popular summer seasons of classic plays alongside its writing programme
The Iris Theatre is a registered charity and relies on support and funding from volunteers.
