Hackney Town Hall

Hackney Town Hall is conveniently located just a stone's throw away from Hackney Central and London Fields Stations. The award-winning venue boasts five separate event, wedding, and meeting spaces all offering a blend of period features, natural daylight, and striking architecture.

Hackney Town Hall opened in 1937 and is one of the finest examples of civic art-deco architecture in London. Featuring the original design by Lanchester & Lodge, the Grade II Listed building is still a focal point of community life in Hackney.

Now in its 82nd year, this working town hall houses the original Assembly Hall that features a private entrance with two beautiful curved staircases leading visitors into the elegant event space. Following undergoing recent improvement works, the original 1930s building has now been brought into the 21st century and boasts two state-of-the-art glass-roofed atriums. The original wood-panelled Committee Rooms and Council Chambers with their imposing grandiose chandeliers are the ideal setting for stand-alone ceremonies.
