Vanessa Williams To Continue In The Devil Wears Prada In London

Vanessa Williams' reign of terror in London as Runway editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly will continue in the West End production of The Devil Wears Prada at the Dominion Theatre until 18 October.

The actress is best known for her screen roles in Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty and is described in the show as "ruthlessly cut-throat" bringing an unmistakable and powerful stage presence to the production.

Also continuing in the London production will be Olivier Award winner Matt Henry as Nigel, Georgie Buckland as Andy, James Darch as Christian, and Olivier Award nominee Amy Di Bartolomeo as Emily.

Rhys Whitfield is to temporarily leave the show, with Jamie Bogyo filling in as Nate from 27 March for a limited season.

Completing the cast are Tara Yasmin, Maddy Ambus, Selena Barron, Pamela Blair, Lloyd Davies, Joshua Steel, Elishia Edwards, Brandon Lee Sears, Natasha Heyward, Samuel How, Luke Jackson, Emma Johnson, Olivia Saunders, Debbie Kurup, Nathan Lorainey-Dineen, Ciro Lourencio Meulens, Christopher Parkinson, Eleanor Peach, Ethan Le Phong, Jon Reynolds, Liam Marcellino, Theo Papoui, Harriet Samuel-Gray, Jinny Gould, Josh Damer-Jennings, Robertina Bonano, Kayleigh Thadani, Gabby Antrobus, Akeem Ellis-Hyman, and Ella Valentine.

The Devil Wears Prada is based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel and the 2006 Hollywood movie starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Anne Hathaway and follows aspiring journalist Andy, who experiences a baptism of fire after landing a job at Runway Magazine as second assistant to the formidable editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly.
