Producers have announced that performances of The Devil Wears Prada will extend at the Dominion Theatre until at least October 18th, 2025. The production opened officially last week starring Vanessa Williams as magazine editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly.
Strong advance sales have made the musical the fastest-selling show in the history of the Dominion Theatre with its opening night gala raising over £750,000 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, with a star-studded guest list in attendance, including Donatella Versace, Anna Wintour, Bob Geldof, Lily Collins, Edward Enninful, and Graham Norton.
Joining Williams in the production are Olivier Award winner Matt Henry as Nigel, Georgie Buckland making her West End debut as Andy, Amy Di Bartolomeo as Emily, James Darch as Christian, and Rhys Whitfield as Nate.
The remainder of the cast features Pamela Blair, Maddy Ambus, Elizabeth Fullalove, Robertina Bonano, Gabby Antrobus, Brandon Lee Sears, Selena Barron, Ethan Le Phong, Christopher Parkinson, Elishia Edwards, Theo Papoui, Josh Damer-Jennings, Eleanor Peach, Nathan Lorainey-Dineen, Luke Jackson, Lloyd Davies, Ella Valentine, Harriet Samuel-Gray, Kayleigh Thadani, Natasha Heyward, Jon Reynolds, Akeem Ellis-Hyman, Jinny Gould, Samuel How, Debbie Kurup, Liam Marcellino, Ciro Lourencio Meulens, Olivia Saunders, Joshua Steel, and Tara Yasmin.
The Devil Wears Prada is based on the best-selling 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger and the subsequent 2006 Hollywood movie starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. The plot follows the fortunes of aspiring journalist Andy as she is initiated into the cut-throat world of high fashion through a position at Runway magazine as assistant to the formidable editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly.
The creative team behind the show is led by Sir Elton John, and includes direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick, book by Kate Wetherhead, set design by Tim Hatley, lighting design by Bruno Poet, sound design by Gareth Owen, and costume design by Gregg Barnes.
Casting for performances of the production from June 2nd, 2025 will be confirmed in due course.
