Wilko: Love and Death and Rock ‘n Roll Tickets - Southwark Playhouse Borough

In 2012, the iconic rock guitarist and founder of legendary Essex band Dr Feelgood, Wilko Johnson was told he had a year to live due to inoperable cancer. Johnson refused all treatment and decided that his final months should be spent living meaningfully: seeing the people, places, and things that meant most to him during his remarkable life.

Soon after, a miracle happened…

Featuring a mix of words, quotes, and rock ‘n roll from the man himself, Wilko: Love and Death and Rock ‘n Roll tells the amazing, uplifting true story of the Canvey Island legend. A play with live music, showcasing at Southwark Playhouse Borough following acclaim from critics and audiences alike in its initial run at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch in 2023.

“Brilliant” The Spectator

“A stonking star turn… Johnson Willis is wonderful” The Guardian
