Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) is a new British musical by writers Kit Buchan and Jim Barne that now transfers into the West End at the Criterion Theatre following a successful season at the Kiln Theatre.
Dougal is an impossibly upbeat but naive Brit, flying to New York for his father’s second wedding. The father that he’s never known.
Robin, the sister of the bride, is waiting for him at the airport. She’s a blunt, straight-talking native New Yorker, late for work, and she doesn’t have any time to stop and go sightseeing.
Instant attraction? Not.
But with the entire city at their feet, and an extravagant wedding approaching…pretty much anything could happen.
