The Spy Who Came In From The Cold Tickets - London

For the very first time, The Spy Who Came In From The Cold - John le Carré's electrifying spy thriller - is brought to life in London @sohoplace in a thrilling new stage adaptation.

This towering work of 20th-century fiction from the undisputed king of the modern spy genre comes to the West End with the potential to be this autumn's leading theatrical event: a journey into the murky, fog-shrouded world of Cold War deception, espionage, and moral compromise.

Alec Leamas wants to come back in from the cold. The hardened, weary British intelligence officer has had enough. But after his boss, George Smiley gives him one last mission — deceptive, dangerous, and deeply personal — Leamas elects to remain in the game. After arriving in enemy territory, he finds his defences breached, and his convictions tested by Liz Gold, a librarian whose quiet defiance, and compassion begin to thaw his frostbitten heart.

For over 60 years, The Spy Who Came In From The Cold has been a global bestseller. The nail-biting tale of betrayal - between not just nations but within the human soul - is le Carré at his most incisive

Following its sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre, this transfer to the West End reunites playwright David Eldridge and director Jeremy Herrin for a truly electrifying theatrical experience.
