The Producers Tickets - Garrick Theatre

The Producers Tickets - London

The first major revival of Mel Brooks' hilarious musical adaptation of The Producers transfers to the Garrick Theatre this Autumn following a sold-out season at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Based on the classic comedy Hollywood movie, the original Broadway production scooped a record 12 Tony Awards and skewered Broadway traditions, taking no prisoners, boasting of being an "equal Opportunities offender".

When mild-mannered accountant Leo Bloom teams up with down-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock, they concoct a scheme to create the biggest flop in the history of theatre - only for it to backfire in a spectacular fashion - and with a thunderous round of applause!

Critically acclaimed principles Andy Nyman, Raj Ghatak, Marc Antolin, Harry Morrison, Trevor Ashley, and Joanna Woodward make a triumphant return to the West End to showcase the production which will run from September 15th, with previews from August 30th.

The Producers plays at the Garrick Theatre in London, which is a medium-sized West End theatre with a capacity of 735. Studying the seating plan before purchase is recommended, as support pillars and circle overhangs can restrict the view from many seats. Patrons may also hear the rattle of the underground trains during productions, as tube lines run directly below the theatre.

Premium seats are in the Stalls and Dress Circle, and sitting between rows D and J in the Stalls offers excellent and unrestricted views. The Dress Circle has clear views and is a good vantage point, although this does tend to be reflected in the price.

The best budget seats for patrons searching for cheap last-minute tickets to The Producers are towards the rear of the Stalls, where seats are regularly discounted due to support pillars and overhang from the Dress Circle. There is also value in the clear-view seats in the Upper Circle for a cheap alternative.

This production is recommended for patrons aged 10+

How Can I Book Cheap Tickets To The Producers?

The Garrick Theatre is not the largest venue in the West End, and tickets are usually in demand at weekends and peak times.  Some opportunities are in the cheaper sections of the theatre for value during off-peak weeks and midweek performances.  The midweek matinee is also an opportunity to secure a bargain during performances where the understudy takes on the lead role.

Should I Avoid Booking Tickets To The Producers That Have A Restricted View?

Some seats feature minor restrictions in the Garrick Theatre, but not all of them should necessarily be avoided. There are three levels of seating in the theatre – the stalls on the ground floor, the dress circle on the first floor, and the grand circle high up on the second floor. In the stalls, some seats have slight restrictions from row N, with views of the top of the stage slightly obscured by the overhang from the dress circle. The raking of the seats is slight up until row G, which can cause issues with the sightline for the very front rows up to row E for some productions. In the dress circle, there is no obstruction from the overhang from the upper circle, but in the last row, the ceiling can feel low and possibly claustrophobic for some. In the upper circle, there can be issues with legroom in some seats, and there is a slight obstruction from the railing at the front. This should always be reflected in the price and can offer opportunities for savings during peak performances.  To ensure transparency, please study the seating plan before booking.  All tickets that feature restrictions should be marked as such.

Is Booking Tickets To The Producers Online Cheaper Than From The Box Office?

This will depend on when you wish to see the show.  If you are booking during peak periods or weekend performances, it could be cheaper to book tickets from the box office to avoid incurring a booking fee from agencies.  When booking tickets during quiet periods, midweek performances, or for quieter off-peak weeks, such as the weeks that follow school holidays, the opposite can often be the case as websites can then sell tickets at pre-negotiated rates, enabling them to pass on discounts they receive to the consumer.  Bargain hunters looking to book last-minute tickets should be as flexible with dates as possible to ensure maximum value.
