The Importance Of Being Earnest Tickets - Noel Coward Theatre

The Importance Of Being Earnest Tickets - London

The sold-out National Theatre production of The Importance of Being Earnest transfers into the West End at the Noel Coward Theatre this Autumn.

Olly Alexander stars as Algernon Moncrieff in director Max Webster‘s flamboyant and joyful reimagining of Oscar Wilde’s hilarious tale of impersonation, identity, and romance.

It can be excessively boring being sensible. At least that's what Jack thinks. As he fulfils his role as dutiful guardian out in the countryside, he lets loose under a false identity when in town. His friend Algy also takes on a similar facade. Unfortunately, having a polar opposite double life does have drawbacks, especially when love is involved.

As they hope to impress two eligible young ladies, the pair find themselves caught up in a whole web of outrageous lies they must carefully navigate.

A trivial comedy for serious people

The Importance Of Being Earnest plays at the Noel Coward Theatre in London. The medium-sized West End theatre has four levels of seating and a capacity of 960.

Due to its grand and traditional style and layout, some views of the stage are restricted towards the ends of rows and in the higher sections of the theatre because of its horseshoe shape.

Premium seats are in the Stalls in and around the centre of rows F-G. It is worth noting that the surrounding seats in this section also offer good and clear views - and as most seats in the Stalls are similarly priced - it can be beneficial to sit a few rows back. The front of the Dress Circle also provides excellent panoramic views of the stage.

There are six boxes in the Noel Coward Theatre – two in the Stalls, and four in the Dress Circle. These offer excellent views and an intimate experience.

The Upper Circle is considered good value for those on a budget looking for cheap tickets to The Comedy About Spies, although legroom can be an issue. Other value can be found in the rear of the Stalls - where seats are regularly sold at a discount.  The cheapest seats are generally located in the Balcony.  These are quite high up and can feel a little distant from the stage.

2 hours 45 minutes (includes interval)

Olly Alexander is not scheduled to play Saturday 20th September, & Friday 7th to Thursday 13th November.
