The Gift Tickets - Park Theatre

After receiving an anonymous package, Colin is both appalled and bemused by what he finds inside. Surely he should just ignore it… But who on earth would send him such a thing – and why put it in a cake box?

Immediately, Colin finds himself fighting all-new levels of existential angst. He’s not used to this sort of scrutiny, and his instinctive reaction is to trawl back through his entire life – dissecting everything – convinced that he can channel his inner Poirot and unmask the offending sender. But while his sister Lisa and her husband Brian scramble to save Colin from diving down this particularly murky rabbit hole, it isn’t long before his list of possible suspects has gotten out of control and he’s scheming to do whatever it takes to smoke out the culprit.

The Gift is the world premiere of Dave Florez's irreverent new and irreverent comedy at the Park Theatre that unashamedly dives head first into the murky waters of modern-day vengeance and past transgressions, all the while fully prepared to get down and dirty in the process.

Exactly what should you do after someone tries to seriously upset your applecart? Should you just take it in your stride? Maybe try to see the funny side? Or never rest until the perpetrator is found and made to pay a heavy price?

The stalls section in Park200 sits on the lower ground level and has head-on views of the stage, with the circle level on the upper ground slightly above the stage that offers elevated views of the action.

The theatre is usually laid out in a thrust configuration with the stage sticking out towards the seating area. For some productions, there may be some extra seating to create an ‘in-the-round’ configuration.

The theatre has a capacity of up to 200 people with the stalls containing banks of bench seating with the left and right sections by the stage featuring 3 benches of 9-13 seats. The central block consists of 5 rows of 10-20 seats with the rows of benches raked to offer clear views of the stage so the back row of each seating bank sits on the same level as the entrance. The benches towards the back of the stalls are slightly longer, and in the front row, the stage sits directly in front of you at knee level.

This production is recommended for patrons aged 14+
