The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind Tickets - London

This bold, uplifting new musical, based on the international best-selling memoir, tells the extraordinary true story of William Kamkwamba.

A 13-year-old boy dreams of saving his village in drought-stricken Malawi. No one believes he can do it – not his father, his friends, nor anyone in his community. As the crops continue to fail and hope begins to run dry, William looks for inspiration in a handful of library books and scraps of old machinery. What William lacks in resources, he makes up for in imagination, determination, and sheer grit - and a windmill begins to take shape. Can he defy all expectations and actually harness the power of the wind to bring life, energy, and hope to his village?

William Kamkwamba’s memoir, adapted into a 2019 movie, was directed and starred Chiwetel Ejiofor, who also joins the West End production @sohoplace as Executive Producer.

Adapted from Ejiofor’s movie and William Kamkwamba’s memoir, the West End premiere of The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind transfers directly from Stratford-upon-Avon, directed by Lynette Linton, with book and lyrics by Richy Hughes and music and lyrics by Tim Sutton.

Soho Place is a contemporary, intimate, and innovative venue that has excellent views of the stage throughout.

Premium seats are in the front row of the First Balcony, providing an excellent vantage point from an elevated position. The central rows in the Stalls sit a comfortable distance from the stage and offer a perfect view of the action.

Value can be found in the seats in the Second Balcony, which despite being the furthest away from the stage have no obstructions or restrictions and offer clear views of the stage. Tickets in the front row of the Stalls can also be slightly cheaper due to the close proximity to the stage.
