The Assembled Parties Tickets - Hampstead Theatre

The Assembled Parties Tickets - London

Julie Bascov is a former film star who takes Christmas extremely seriously - despite constant reminders from her family that they are, in fact, Jewish.

Julie, along with her well-heeled husband Ben, hosts a feast every year on Central Park West in their palatial apartment. At their party in December 1980, their son came down from Harvard to join the party, accompanied by his best friend, Jeff, who was completely dazzled by the Bascov clan.

Twenty years later, Jeff returns to New York - and once again attends the party - only to find that much that was sown back in 1980 has been reaped in the intervening years…

Richard Greenberg makes his debut at the Hampstead Theatre in London with his virtuosic comedy-drama that was such a sensation that it had to be extended three times when it played on Broadway in 2013.

Blanche McIntyre returns to Hampstead to direct The Assembled Parties starring Tracy-Ann Oberman for a limited season from October 17 to November 22.

The Assembled Parties plays at the Hampstead Theatre. Although the venue first opened back in 1959 as a Scout Hall, it wasn’t until 2003 that what is now the purpose-built theatre finally opened to the public featuring two performance venues.  The theatre is now home to many new writing and ground-breaking productions in London prior to them making the transfer into the West End.

The intimate and cosy theatre has a seating capacity of 325, and has attracted some of the world’s greatest talent over the years,  including Jude Law, Tamsin Greig, John Malkovich, and Felicity Kendal, who have all appeared in shows at the venue.

A nice modern venue with good facilities and decent viewing angles and good sound throughout. Some of the Dress Circle seats are a little cramped and lacking in legroom and width and some seats within the theatre feature slight restrictions due to pillars so studying the seating plan prior to booking tickets is recommended.
