BEFORE THE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN…
Kate Trefry's Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre features an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne & Kate Trefry, and is based on the popular Netflix Series. Directed by Stephen Daldry
The scene is set from within the world and mythology of Stranger Things as we arrive in Hawkins, 1959: just a regular town with regular worries. Bob Newby’s sister refuses to take his radio show seriously, young Jim Hopper’s car doesn't want to start, and Joyce Maldonado wants to just graduate and get the hell out of town.
New student Henry Creel arrives in town looking for a fresh start with a clean slate, however, his family finds that this isn’t an easy task… and the dark shadows of the past still have a long reach.
Stranger Things: The First Shadow is brought to life on stage by a multi-award-winning creative team taking theatrical stagecraft and storytelling to a whole new dimension as this gripping adventure transports you right back to the start of the Stranger Things story – and perhaps holds the key to the end.
