SILENCE! the Musical Tickets - Turbine Theatre

Taking its inspiration from the Academy Award-winning Hollywood movie, SILENCE! the Musical is an unauthorised musical parody of The Silence of the Lambs that will showcase at the Turbine Theatre from 4 - 28 September 2024.

While rookie FBI agent Clarice puts her wits up against the brilliant but completely insane Dr. Hannibal Lecter in an attempt to catch a serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill, a chorus of lambs singing show tunes about the most horrific of subjects breaks out.

Featuring songs with unprintable titles, singing serial killers, and a chorus of lambs, SILENCE! the Musical charges directly at you with gleefully unstoppable bad taste.

In the Academy Award-winning movie The Silence of the Lambs, Clarice must face down her demons in a race against the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent young girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill. The nail-biting thriller has kept millions on the edge of their seats and permeated the popular lexicon with its famous and delightfully creepy quotes like “It places the lotion in the basket” and of course “I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.”

Now, at last, this delicately suspenseful thriller has been completely turned on its head and is retold – as a musical. As a singing chorus of floppy-eared lambs narrate the action; Buffalo Bill gleefully dances at a hoedown as he kidnaps the hapless Catherine Martin; and even the terrifying Dr. Lecter, as scary as ever, can only sing show tunes about the life he’d like to lead someday on the outside.

The Turbine Theatre is a brand-new off West End theatre located close to Battersea Power Station on the banks of the Thames.   The performance area in the theatre is small and cosy and there is also a nice bar with good, modern facilities. It’s an atmospheric venue but does suffer from occasional rumblings from the trains above but the acoustics work well and you are seated close enough to the action to be fully immersed into the show.

The theatre stage space is quite small but very welcoming and there is a good view from most of the 100 seats although patrons in some seats in row D may find it a little hard to see the very front of the stage. The venue also benefits from good seat for comfort and legroom!
