Shifters Tickets - Duke Of York's Theatre

DO YOU BELIEVE IN DESTINY?

Shifters is a relatable and beautifully intoxicating reminder of the enduring power of our memories, young love, and the complexities of relationships. This love story comes with a universal message that is full of heart and is “easy itself to fall in love with” (The Times).

Des and Dre. Gifted. Young. Black. She left. He stayed.  After many years, Des and Dre come crashing back into each other’s lives, both carrying old scars and new secrets. As the clock counts down until Des must leave again, the memories of their teen years begin to collide with their present, and they start to question if destiny has brought them together again for a reason.

Written by Benedict Lombe, directed by Evening Standard Theatre Award-winner Lynette Linton, and starring the “irresistible” (London Theatre) Heather Agyepong and the “tremendous” (The Observer) Tosin Cole.

Shifters will showcase at the Duke of York’s Theatre for a strictly limited 9-week run from August 12th – October 12th and has a running time of 100 minutes with no interval.

The Duke of York’s Theatre is a small West End venue which sits on three levels and has a capacity of 642 seats. Due to the she small size of the auditorium certain seats have slightly restricted views of the stage (depending on the production), so it is recommended to study the seating plan in detail prior to purchase as this can benefit both the price you pay for your ticket and the overall experience within the theatre.

Premium seats in the theatre are located towards the front and centre of the Stalls, around rows E and F. Sitting too close to the stage is not recommended as it sits quite high and you will have to look up throughout the entire play.  Seats at the rear are slightly restricted from the overhang from the Royal Circle which should also be noted however this is usually reflected in the price. Seats in the Royal Circle however offer excellent and unrestricted views from an elevated position and are recommended.

Good value can be found in the Row H bench on the third level in the Upper Circle which is ideal for bargain hunters looking to secure last minute theatre tickets or cheap tickets Shifters as despite being situated towards the rear of the theatre, they offer good overall sight-lines and are usually very reasonably priced. The Upper Circle also has some seats with restrictions but offers good value compared to some other seats within the venue.
