Ruth the Musical Tickets - Wilton's Music Hall

Ruth the Musical Tickets - London

Class. Sex. Murder. The Ruth Ellis story had it all.

It was the sensational murder case that shook 1950s Britain to its very core – the peroxide blonde bombshell, nightclub hostess, sentenced to death by hanging for shooting her violent upper-class lover, making her the last woman in Britain to be executed.  Book Ruth tickets on Theatre Tickets London.

Ruth Ellis' compelling story is now brought to the London stage in a powerful new musical at Wilton's Music Hall, featuring a powerful blend of an emotive score and moody noir visuals. In the era of #MeToo, it’s a tale of a woman’s struggle against a strictly patriarchal society that now resonates deeply.

This exciting musical production takes in the thrill of the racetrack, the tawdry glamour of London’s vice clubs, and ultimately, the chilling finality of the condemned prison cell. Ruth the Musical delves into the relationships that 28-year-old Ruth Ellis had with the men who shaped her tragically short life – devoted Desmond, her abusive father Arthur, and the volatile David, who became her obsession - and eventually, her undoing.

But there is also another man who played a key role in Ruth’s fate - a mysterious stranger who visits her cell with the clock ticking ever closer to her end.
