Punch Tickets - Apollo Theatre

Punch Play Tickets - London

Following sold-out runs at the Nottingham Playhouse and in London at the Young Vic, James Graham's Punch transfers to the West End at the Apollo Theatre for a limited 10-week season from 22nd September. Don’t miss this thought-provoking critically acclaimed play in a ‘powerhouse of a production’ (Whatsonstage).

Punch brings Jacob’s extraordinary true story to the stage in a deeply moving, gripping, and high-energy production directed by Adam Penford.

Nottingham teen Jacob spends his Saturday nights thrill-seeking with his friends. One fateful evening, an impulsive punch results in deadly consequences. After serving his time in prison, Jacob finds himself directionless and lost. In the search for their own answers, David and Joan – the parents of his victim James – ask to meet, which sparks a profound change of direction in Jacob’s life.

Punch is a powerful true story of humanity, hope, and the possibility of change.

This production is dedicated to James Hodgkinson and all other victims of One Punch.

Where Is The Best Section Of The Apollo Theatre To Book Tickets To Punch?

The Apollo Theatre has three tiers with the cheapest seats being located in the upper circle and the most expensive being front and centre in either the stalls or dress circle. While this is not the largest venue in the West End, it still has several different price structures in all sections of the theatre meaning that when looking for the best value for tickets it can be beneficial to study the seating plan closely to look for the cut-off points for each different price range in the theatre which can lead to substantial savings.

Can I Buy Discount Tickets To Punch?

The theatre rarely offers official discounts on tickets however prices do fluctuate and midweek performances during off-peak periods will usually see a downward movement in ticket prices to the show. Some of the official retail outlets will offer discounts during quiet weeks if they buy in bulk upfront but this will usually only happen if the West End is quiet and will be more luck than judgment from a consumer perspective.

Are Upper Circle Tickets To Punch Good Value?

They can be. It is recommended that you study the seating plan before booking as some seats in this section feature slight restrictions to the view however this should be clearly marked for full transparency and priced accordingly. Thankfully there are no pillars to deal with so most of the tickets in this section do have a clear view although you are situated quite high up.

Why Do Some Websites Charge An Additional Booking Fee For Tickets?

As with all West End shows, this boils down to basic supply and demand as the producers are in business to make money and if the show is busy they will charge all agents full price for tickets meaning that the online ticket agents running the websites will have no option but to charge a booking fee to turn a profit. The good news though is that if you are booking tickets through websites that are members of the Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers (STAR) then all fees should be visible before purchase so you will be aware of exactly what you are getting into and there are no nasty surprises upon checkout.

The Apollo Theatre is a medium size West End theatre with a capacity of 833 seats on four levels. Excellent views are available throughout the venue, with very limited overhang coming from the higher tiers and steep rakes throughout ensuring good visibility of the stage.

Seats in the Stalls provide excellent views throughout, even towards the rear of the seating with premium seats being found in the front centre section of either the Stalls and also the Dress Circle which provide an immersive theatrical experience.

Seats in the front row of the Grand Circle are often sold at a discount in price, and although they are situated quite high up, you have a decent view of the action from an elevated position. The best seats in this section can be found one row behind in seats B15-18, as they do not feature any restriction from the lighting equipment. Seats towards the rear of the Stalls also offer a great view of the stage on a budget and are ideal for last-minute bargain hunters.
