Marriage Material Tickets - Lyric Hammersmith

"In our shops, we will be Kings of England. And we will make this place our place.”

The Bains’ local corner shop in Wolverhampton has been the focal point of the family for three generations.

In 1969, Mrs Bains balances running the family business, caring for her ailing husband, and the increasing demands of her two headstrong daughters, who both have their eyes on a different kind of future.

In the present day, Arjan Bains is pulled back from a life in London by a family tragedy. The family shop represents everything Arjan was trying to escape, but just how long can he stay away with his mother insisting it remains open?

Gurpreet Kaur Bhatti adapts Sathnam Sanghera's critically acclaimed novel Marriage Material at the Lyric Hammersmith, a sweeping family portrait directed by Iqbal Khan.

The Lyric Hammersmith is a medium size venue located on King Street, W6, close to Hammersmith Underground Station, and has a capacity of 586 seats on three levels.

Premium seats in the theatre are primarily located in the centre of the Stalls, along with the front of the Circle which both offer great options for large-scale musical productions, giving you a complete panoramic view of the stage. Seats in the Stalls generally offer great views of the action, due to a good rake in the seating and its proximity to the stage.

Well-priced and cheap seats can be found at the rear of the Stalls, which offer a great overall view of the stage at a reduced price. Sitting in the back of the Circle is also good value for money with clear-view seating from an elevated position. bargain hunters looking for lastminute tickets on a strict budget should look at options in the Upper Circle.
