The Royal Opera House will stage La Boheme for selected performances from December 16th, 2024 until January 17th, 2025.
As a dusting of snow begins to settle on the streets of Paris on Christmas Eve, penniless poet Rodolfo meets Mimì, a seamstress, and they instantly fall in love. Rodolfo introduces Mimì to his bohemian friends Colline, Marcello, and Schaunard, and they head off to Café Momus, where Marcello is reunited with his ex-girlfriend Musetta. But the group's happiness – and Rodolfo's blossoming romance – is threatened when he discovers that Mimì is gravely sick. Can the warmth of their friendship – and the strength of young love – sustain the bohemian group through the hardships of the forthcoming cold winter?
