Giant Tickets - Harold Pinter Theatre

Giant Tickets - London

“I just wanted to put you bang in the picture. Apprise you of the difficulties. Because, if you hadn't noticed, he’s a human fucking boobytrap. And now, guess what, surprise surprise, boom!”

A world-famous and much-loved children’s author is under threat. A battle of wills ensues in the wake of a scandal. And one last chance to make amends…

It’s the summer of 1983, Roald Dahl's book, The Witches is about to hit the shelves, and the author is making last-minute edits. But public outcry at his recent, explicitly antisemitic comments in a published article shows no sign of calming down.

At his family home across a single afternoon, and shaken by an explosive, unexpected confrontation, Dahl must choose: offer a public apology or risk his reputation and name.

Giant is a play inspired by real events. Mark Rosenblatt’s debut play transfers into the West End at the Harold Pinter Theatre following a successful season in 2024 at the Royal Court Theatre uses dark humour to explore the fine line between considered opinion and dangerous rhetoric.

Directed by Nicholas Hytner and starring Tony and Golden Globe-winner John Lithgow, alongside Olivier Award-winner Elliot Levey, Giant offers a complicated new portrait of a fiendishly charismatic literary icon.

Originally developed along with the London Theatre Company, Giant has been generously supported by a lead gift from Charles Holloway.

Where In The Auditorium Are The Best Value Giant Tickets  Located?

There are four different levels of seating. The best views are located in the centre of the stalls, and the front of the dress circle. Cheaper seats can be found in the royal circle and balcony.  When searching for value at the Harold Pinter Theatre it is recommended to study the seating plan before purchase, as some seats on each level have restrictions from overhangs and pillars.

Should I Avoid Tickets To Giant That Have A Restricted View?

There are seats with restrictions in all four sections of the theatre.  The front of the stalls have an excellent view while some seats in the rows at the rear are slightly impaired by two pillars, and the overhang from the dress circle.  Some seats in the dress circle on the sides are also affected by support pillars, so studying the seating plan is recommended.  When booking tickets at the Harold Pinter in the top two tiers, it is worth noting that the balcony is high up, and may not be suitable for people who suffer from vertigo. The royal circle has a gentle rake, and there are minor restrictions from a safety rail that affect some seats at the front.  All seats with restrictions will be priced accordingly, so it can pay dividends to look for the cut-off points of the price bands.
