Gerry & Sewell Tickets - Aldwych Theatre

Gerry & Sewell Tickets - London

Two lads. No money. One single mission: to get season tickets for the upcoming season for the Premier League. Just how hard can it be?

Jonathan Tulloch’s novel The Season Ticket, which subsequently became the cult movie Purely Belter, is adapted for the stage by Olivier Award-winner Jamie Eastlake and now comes to the West End for a limited run at the Aldwych Theatre following sell-out performances in the North East.

Gerry and Sewell both live in Gateshead. They’ve pretty much got nothing — except a dream. The acquisition of a season ticket to their beloved football club. But following experiencing years of austerity and watching their team being sold off on the cheap by a self-serving southern businessman more interested in merch than matches, life has been tough. Until they make their decision to get those season tickets, no matter what it takes? And once they’ve agreed on their mission, nothing on earth is going to stop them — except possibly a couple of dodgy dealers, the social, and the occasional run-in with the local scrap merchant.

Original cast members Dean Logan, Jack Robertson, and Becky Clayburn star as Gerry, Sewell, and Tyneside, alongside Erin Mullen in the role of Bridget.

Gerry & Sewell is a glorious fusion of live music, puppet dogs, and the colourful magic of Wor Flags (including the odd surprise cameo) into a funny, wild, and heartfelt working-class tribute to black-and-white dreams.

For the Toon. And for anyone who has ever chased something that really matters.

Gerry & Sewell plays at the Aldwych Theatre in London. The medium-sized West End theatre is located on the Aldwych, with three levels of seating and a capacity of 1181.

The theatre offers good views of the stage from each level. Some rows at the back of the Stalls have slight restrictions due to the overhang from the Dress Circle, but they are unlikely to ruin the viewing experience.

Premium seats are in the front of the Stalls and offer the best views of the stage, around rows B and C. Seats in the centre are the most desirable. Studying the seating plan for price band cut-off points can produce great value, as seats on the aisle and the sides can be almost as good and much cheaper.

Good value can also be found in the Dress Circle in row A, seats 1-6 and 28-33, which are regularly discounted as they are on the curve of the balcony and facing the stage side-on. Restrictions to the view from these seats are minor, making them ideal for bargain hunters searching for last-minute shows or cheap tickets.
