“You have this idea in your head of the person you could be.”
Joe Locke makes his West End stage debut to take the lead role in a new, stunning production of CLARKSTON by critically acclaimed writer Samuel D. Hunter, and directed by award-winner Jack Serio. The emotionally intimate play will showcase in the West End for a limited run at the Trafalgar Theatre from 7 September to 22 November 2025.
Also appearing in the production will be BIFA nominee and rising star, Ruaridh Mollica, and Evening Standard Theatre Award nominee Sophie Melville.
“Maybe we’re like the last American pioneers.”
While on a journey West in a bid to rediscover himself, Jake meets Chris, a kindred soul, at a Costco in a small rural American town. Over time, their bond deepens, along with their sense of adventure, and they look to give their lives new meaning by chasing something bigger – like the famous and intrepid explorers Lewis and Clark before them.
CLARKSTON is a contemporary frontier story that blazes a trail through love, acceptance, friendship, and the hope and anticipation of discovery.
