Cable Street Tickets - London
After two successful and sold-out runs last year at Southwark Playhouse, the powerful musical Cable Street is back in London with its latest iteration at the Marylebone Theatre.
Based on true events from October 1936, this exciting production is set in the heart of London’s East End, where Ron, Sammy, and Mairead are carving out their own futures on Cable Street when a tense, politically-charged march organised by Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists arrives in East London. Thousands of residents from the area, including Jews, Irish, and communists, unite to form a blockade on the road they call home. As the eastenders come out to raise their voices and take a united stand against hatred, the lives of the residents of Cable Street are changed forever.
Featuring a contemporary and powerful score, Cable Street is an electrifying reimagining of one of the most significant days in London’s colourful history.
Cable Street is a glorious celebration of the power of community and a rallying call to action. This powerful and timeless story is as poignant today as it ever was.
Written by Alex Kanefsky and Tim Gilvin, directed by Adam Lenson, and presented by 10 to 4 Productions.
