Buyer And Cellar Tickets - King's Head Theatre

Alex is an out-of-work actor who finds himself working in Barbra Streisand’s legendary basement shopping mall beneath her home in Malibu. Buyer & Cellar is an outrageous comedy about the cost of things, the oddest of odd jobs, and the price of fame.

The hilarious one-person show now returns to London at the King's Head Theatre a decade after the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production closed, with Rob Madge starring as Alex.

Rob is best known for writing and starring in My Son’s a Queer (But What Can You Do?), which was the winner of the 2022 WhatsOnStage Award for Best Off-West End show and, following two runs in the West End, was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award in 2023.

Written by Jonathan Tolins, and directed by Kirk Jameson with lighting design by Jack Weir, wig design by Craig Forrest-Thomas, scenographer Ingrid Hu, composition & sound design by Emily Rose Simons, and stage management by Rosie Morgan.

The King's Head Theatre is a small fringe venue situated in Upper Street close to Angel tube station. The theatre is located inside an old fashioned pub in the heart of Islington, near to all the restaurants and is both cosy and atmospheric. The venue is tiny with no raised stage so you can feel like you are part of the actual scene making it an intimate experience and very detached from larger West End productions. There is a pricing structure within the venue which can fluctuate slightly to offer extra value for Buyer and Cellar tickets by exploiting cut off points in the seating plan without compromising too much on the quality of seating.
