From the writers of My Fair Lady, Gigi, and Camelot, let the atmospheric outdoor setting of London's magical Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre transport you up to the Scottish Highlands for this new production of Lerner & Loewe’s classic musical, Brigadoon.
WW2 fighter pilots Tommy and Jeff have crash-landed in the Scottish Highlands and are searching for a way home, whilst just over the hills, sisters Jean and Fiona are preparing for a wedding. During the course of a single day in the idyllic little village of Brigadoon, their stories entwine. But is it possible for true love to endure in this enchanting place where things are not quite as they seem?
Brigadoon features soaring songs including ‘The Heather on the Hill’, ‘Almost Like Being in Love’, and ‘Waitin’ for My Dearie’. In a new adaptation by leading Scottish playwright Rona Munro, this revival of a theatrical classic is the first London revival of the musical in over 35 years. It is choreographed and directed by Olivier Award winner and Artistic Director of Regent’s Park Open Air TheatreDrew McOnie in his first production at the venue.
