“Once they have been here long enough, they are no longer squatters. Then they are simply... Neighbours.”
A mysterious shack springs up from the dust in the quaint suburban community of Stillwater, with the inhabitants nowhere to be seen.
As speculation begins to rise, new residents, Bonolo and Sihle are recruited by their neighbourhood to be the face of the local campaign to demolish the shack in this sharp satire of community politics.
A Good House is a comedic and thrilling new work from Amy Jephta, about a couple discovering what is required to fit in and the limits of good neighbourliness.
Directed by Nancy Medina, A Good House is a co-production with Bristol Old Vic in association with The Market Theatre, Johannesburg, and was originally co-commissioned by the Royal Court Theatre with the Fugard Theatre, South Africa.
