Performances of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have been extended at the Palace Theatre until 15 February 2026 in the West End. The production has so far welcomed two million patrons to the venue since the play opened in London in 2016.
Based on J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne's original story, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set 19 years after Harry, Hermione, and Ron saved the wizarding world and now follows the fortunes of a new generation of pupils at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Producers of the play, Colin Callender and Sonia Friedman commented on the extension, saying: “It has been an enormous honour to have welcomed over 2 million theatregoers to the Palace Theatre over the last nine years. We're thrilled that the addition of these new seats will allow even more people to experience the magic of Harry Potter at our London home in the years to come.”
Nimax Theatres Chief Executive and co-owner, Nica Burns also commented: “We’re delighted to have taken this opportunity to further enhance the customer experience of such a brilliant production with the additional comfort of these new seats at the Palace Theatre.”
The cast currently appearing in the production includes David Ricardo-Pearce as Harry Potter, Naana Agyei-Ampadu as Hermione Granger, Ellis Rae as Albus Potter, Claire Lams as Ginny Potter, Harry Acklowe as Scorpius Malfoy, Steve John Shepherd as Draco Malfoy, Thomas Aldridge as Ron Weasley, and Eve de Leon Allen as Rose Granger-Weasley.
