Sam Tutty and Dujonna Gift will lead the cast of Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) which will showcase at the Kiln Theatre later in 2023.
The new British musical, previously titled The Season, has enjoyed successful runs in Northampton and Ipswich and will run at the Kiln Theatre for an eight-week season, from November 9th to December 23rd, 2023.
Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) will be directed by Tim Jackson and is written by Kit Buchan and Jim Barne.
The wider creative team will feature lighting designer Jack Knowles, set and costume designer Soutra Gilmour, orchestrations by Lux Pyramid, sound designer Tony Gayle, and musical director Sean Green.
The plot of the musical follows naive Brit, Dougal, who is flying to New York to attend his father's second wedding. The bride's sister, Robin, is picking him up at the airport. Robin is a pragmatic New Yorker racing through life, and amidst the bustling energy of New York's holiday season and the impending extravagant wedding, they begin to form an unlikely connection.

The Kiln Theatre (formally the Tricycle Theatre) is a small and intimate off-West End theatre located on lively Kilburn High Road. The venue has seating on two levels with the Stalls section just getting the nod for comfort. The layout of the seating in the auditorium is subject to change to suit each production in the venue.
The newly spruced-up theatre features an attractive all-day café-bar at the front, with a pavement terrace and doors wide open onto the street. The theatre itself benefits from intimate stage settings, comfortable seating, and friendly welcoming staff.
