Get your pom poms at the ready as But I’m A Cheerleader: The Musical is making its way back to the capital once again and will now run for a limited season at the Turbine Theatre from October 7th to November 27th. Tickets to But I'm A Cheerleader are available to book both online and through the box office.
The popular musical is based on the 1999 film of the same name and follows the fortunes of Megan, a seemingly picture-perfect high school cheerleader who is sent off to a conversion therapy camp. While there, she begins to discover her sexuality and falls head over heels for a rebellious tomboy named 'Graham'.
The premiere of But I’m A Cheerleader: The Musical was at MTFestUK in 2019, and the musical received its first full-length engagement earlier this year. Casting for the new production of the show will be announced in due course at a later date.
But I'm A Cheerleader features a book and lyrics by Bill Augustin and has music by Andrew Abrams. The new production will be directed by Tania Azevedo.
The wider creative team behind the show features sound design by Christ Whybrow, set and costume design by David Shields, choreography by Alexzandra Sarmiento, and lighting design by Martha Godfrey.
