Two-time Olivier Award-winner Michael Ball is set for a sensational return to the West End to star in a new revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Aspects of Love which will begin previews at the Lyric Theatre from May 12th, ahead of an official opening night on May 25th and performances running until November 11th.
Aspects of Love follows a selection of romantic entanglements that take place over a 17 year period and first premiered in the West End back in 1989 running for an impressive for 1,325 performances. Ball previously played Alex in the 1989 production of Aspects of Love at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
Jonathan Kent will now direct Michael Ball in Aspects of Love which features a book by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart.
Commenting on the revival of the popular musical, Ball said: “Aspects of Love holds a very special place in my heart. I am absolutely delighted to revisit Andrew Lloyd Webber’s glorious score in a re-imagined chamber production in the West End… We are just at the start of our journey so the big question is will I be singing my favourite song Love Changes Everything – what do you think?
