Anne-Marie Duff has been announced as starring at the Young Vic in London in the forthcoming new production of Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes.
Olivier Award winner Lyndsey Turner directs and performances will begin on December 2nd.
BAFTA Award-winning actress Duff, who last performed at the Young Vic in The Soldier's Fortune 17 years ago will lead the cast as Regina Giddens, in this play about an Alabama woman who struggles for wealth and freedom early in the 20th century.
Anne-Marie Duff commented on the appointment: “The Little Foxes is a formidable play by a formidable writer – I couldn’t put it down. It’s a searing drama about corruption, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of power. At the heart of it is Regina, a charismatic yet ruthless character who, when the reins are unleashed, goes full force to take matters into her own hands. It’s a joy to return to the Young Vic stage and bring Lillian Hellman’s classic play to life with the brilliant Lyndsey Turner.”
The wider creative team behind the production will feature sound design by Tingying Dong, design by Lizzie Clachan, fight direction by Kev McCurdy, and lighting design by Lucy Carter.
Further casting will be announced in due course.
