Here Come’s J. Edgar! A Comedy Musical Tickets - King's Head Theatre

Here Come’s J. Edgar! Tickets - London

J. Edgar Hoover secured his place as one of the most powerful figures in the USA as Director of the FBI from 1924 to 1972 by gathering sensitive information on the private lives of others. But behind all of his power lay the dark, hidden secret of his flamboyant partying, his own sexuality, and his lifelong love affair with his loyal deputy Clyde Tolson.

Co-written by legendary performer and satirist, Harry Shearer (Spinal Tap, The Simpsons) and acclaimed comedy writer Tom Leopold (Seinfeld, Cheers) with music composed by Peter Matz (Burt Bacharach, Barbara Streisand), Here Come’s J. Edgar! tells this weird and twisted tale at the King's Head Theatre in London for a limited season from 10 July to 16 August 2026.

The World Premiere of an irrepressible musical comedy about the power of love and the love of power, and what a plain black dress and a single strand of pearls can do for a guy! Book Here Come’s J. Edgar! A Comedy Musical tickets with Theatre Tickets London.

Here Comes J. Edgar! A Comedy Musical plays at the King's Head Theatre in London. The small fringe venue is situated in Upper Street, close to Angel tube station. The theatre is located inside an old-fashioned pub in the heart of Islington, close to all the restaurants, and is both cosy and atmospheric. The venue is small with no raised stage, so it feels like you are part of the action, creating an intimate experience, different from larger West End productions. There is a pricing structure within the venue that can fluctuate slightly to offer extra value by exploiting cut-off points in the seating plan without compromising too much on the quality of seating.
