Maddie Grace Jepson To Star In Back To The Future: The Musical In London
Actor and TikTok star Maddie Grace Jepson will make her professional stage debut as Lorraine Baines in Back to the Future The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre in the West End from 13 August.
Jepson, who first rose to fame in Channel 4's Big Mood, and is also known for online content creation, will star alongside Brian Conley, who also joins the production in the role of Doctor Emmett Brown for a limited 12-week run before handing over to Cory English who returns from 5 November.
Jepson commented, “Looks like I’m in my debut era! I’m beyond excited to be joining the cast of this brilliant, award-winning production. Musical theatre was my first love, I trained in it before my digital career, so joining this incredible show for my West End debut is like a full circle moment. It feels like fate. The West End currently features Cory English as Doctor Emmett Brown, Talia Palamathanan as Jennifer Parker, Caden Brauch as Marty McFly, Sarah Goggin as Lorraine Baines, C.J. Borger as Marvin Berry and Goldie Wilson, Orlando Gibbs as George McFly, Alex Runicles as Biff Tannen, Lee Ormsby as alternate Doctor Emmett Brown and Strickland, Liam McHugh as Dave McFly, and Ellis Kirk as alternate Marty McFly. Completing the talented cast are Kofi Aidoo-Appiah, Louis Quinn, Billie Bowman, Gracie Caine, Anna Murray, Matthew Ives, Lauren Dawes, Samuel Nicholas, Patricia Wilkins as Linda McFly, Ella Beaumont, Charlotte Coggin, Helen Gulston, Alexander Day, Connor Lewis, Grace Swaby-Moore, Adam Margilewski, Bryan Mottram, and Zachkiel Smith.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the much-loved Hollywood movie, and Back to the Future will celebrate its 5th year in the West End on 13 September.
The musical stays true to the original story and follows the fortunes of teenager Marty McFly, who is accidentally transported 30 years into the past to 1955 in a time-travelling DeLorean invented by his eccentric friend, Dr. Emmett Brown. Once there, and to ensure his future existence, he must ensure his now high school-aged parents meet and fall in love so he can return to the present.
