Chaka Khan Musical, I'm Every Woman To Open In West End In 2026
An exciting new musical is heading to the West End! The show, about 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Chaka Khan, I'm Every Woman, will have its world premiere at the Peacock Theatre in London and run from 5-28 March 2026.
The musical will chart Khan's legendary life and career, including her involvement in civil rights activism and the Black Panther Party, along with her meteoric music career, from lead singer of funk band Rufus, to her subsequent and much-celebrated solo career. The show will feature some of the best known songs from her back catalogue, including "Higher Love,""Tell Me Something Good,""I’m Every Woman," "Ain’t Nobody,""I Feel For You," "Sweet Thing," and "Through The Fire."
The musical is directed by Racky Plews, choreographed by Jade Hackett, and produced by Adrian Grant in association with Chaka Khan with a book, by Nia T. Hill, that also chronicles many of Khan's famous friends like Prince, Joni Mitchell, Robert Palmer, and Stevie Wonder.
In a statement about the show, Khan commented, "Many of you know that my life has always influenced my music — but you may not know the full story. I've lived a rich, beautiful, and sometimes difficult life, and now those experiences will come alive on stage in I’m Every Woman: The Musical. It’s the greatest honour to have my journey and work celebrated in this way.
