A Man For All Seasons Set For West End Transfer Starring Martin Shaw
Following a successful run at the Theatre Royal Bath in January 2025, A Man for All Seasons will open at the Harold Pinter Theatre in the West End this summer starring Martin Shaw as Sir Thomas More. Performances will begin on 6 August, and run until 6 September 2025.
Shaw, whose TV credits include Judge John Deed, The Professionals, and Inspector George Gently, along with stage credits including The Best Man, Hobson’s Choice, and Twelve Angry Men. Shaw will take the role of Sir Thomas More in Robert Bolt's play about the political fallout from Henry VIII's ground-breaking divorce from Catherine of Aragon.
Jonathan Church directs the production, which will also star Calum Finlay, Edward Bennett, Orlando James, Nicholas Day, Sam Parks, Asif Khan, Annie Kingsnorth, Sam Phillips, Louisa Sextona, Hari Kang, and Gary Wilmot. Further casting will be announced in due course.
The creative team behind the show is completed by Paul Groothuis (Sound Designer), Mark Henderson (Lighting Designer), Simon Higlett (Set & Costume Designer), and Matthew Scott (Composer).
