Following Romola Garai's departure from the production, The Young Vic has announced via its social media channels that Dorothea Myer Bennett will join the cast of Nachtland. The show opens at the venue on February 20th.
A statement on the Young Vic's Instagram account said: "Update on Nachtland: Dorothea Myer-Bennett will be joining the cast as regrettably, Romola Garai has had to step down from the production. We’d like to thank Romola for her time with the production and her warm wishes for the show. We'll be reaching out to everyone who has booked a ticket for Nachtland today."
The rest of the cast that will feature in the production will include Jane Horrocks, John Heffernan, Angus Wright, and Jenna Augen.
Marius von Mayenburg's satirical play, directed by Patrick Marber, is set in modern-day Germany and focuses on legacy, marriage, and the rise of the new political right.
