New personnel are coming to take over the reins at the hit musical, Guys and Dolls! Owain Arthur and Timmika Ramsay will take on the roles of Nathan Detroit and Miss Adelaide from Daniel Mays and Marisha Wallace as part of casting changes in Nicholas Hytner’s immersive production at the Bridge Theatre. Mays and Wallace will remain in their roles until 24 February.
George Ioannides will continue his lead role as Sky Masterson, and Celinde Schoenmaker is to also continue as Sarah Brown.
Also joining the cast of the show will be Jonathan Andrew Hume as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, Ryan Pidgen as Benny Southstreet, Tori Scott as General Cartwright, Niall Buggy as Arvide Abernathy, Dashaun Vegas as Harry the Horse and TJ Lloyd as Rusty Charlie.
The remainder of the cast who will continue in their roles are Charlotte Scott (Swing, Co-Dance Captain), Iroy Abesamis (Swing), Cornelius Clarke (Lieutenant Brannigan), Saffi Needham (Ensemble), James Revell (Swing), Cameron Johnson (Big Jule) and Dale White (Swing, Dance Captain, Fight Captain).
Additional ensemble members of the cast include Samuel Routley, Katie Bradley, Filippo Coffano, Tanisha-Mae Brown, Eamonn Cox, Kamilla Fernandes, Hollie Jane Stephens, Alex Given, Lucie Horsfall, Dominic Lamb, Nathan Rigg, Siân Nathaniel-James, Sophie Pourret, and Pierce Rogan.
Hytner’s immersive production of the classic musical Guys and Dolls takes audiences on a whirlwind adventure from Broadway to Havana, following the fortunes of a couple of big-city gamblers. The production won Best Musical at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in November 2023 and was nominated for twelve WhatsOnStage Awards last month.
