Minority Report has been adapted for the stage by writer and actor David Haig with award-winning director Max Webster (Life of Pi) directing the production.
The wider creative team behind the show will include casting director Lotte Hines CDG, movement director Lucy Hind, production designer Jon Bausor, lighting designer Jessica Hung Han Yun, video designer Tal Rosner, composer and sound designer Nicola T. Chang, and illusions director Richard Pinner.
In a statement about the announcement, Webster commented: “I’m so thrilled we have this extraordinary cast to bring David Haig’s play to life. I can’t wait to start rehearsing with them in what promises to be a huge challenge of acting, technical staging, and imagination.”
The plot of Minority Report is set 30 years from now and follows neuroscientist Dame Julia Anderton, who is on the cusp of launching the pioneering next phase of her Pre-Crime programme, to detain people for crimes before they are committed. But when Julia is herself accused of pre-murder, she finds herself in a desperate race against time to save herself from the system of justice she created.
Minority Report will run at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre until 18th May.

The Lyric Hammersmith is a medium-sized venue located on King Street, W6, close to Hammersmith Underground Station, and has a capacity of 586 seats on three levels.
Premium seats in the theatre are primarily located in the centre of the Stalls, along with the front of the Circle which both offer great options for large-scale musical productions, giving you a complete panoramic view of the stage. Seats in the Stalls generally offer great views of the action, due to a good rake in the seating and its proximity to the stage.
Well-priced and cheap seats can be found at the rear of the Stalls, which offer a great overall view of the stage at a reduced price. Sitting in the back of the Circle is also good value for money with clear-view seating from an elevated position. bargain hunters looking for lastminute tickets on a strict budget should look at options in the Upper Circle.
