I look forward to rediscovering the brilliance of Ibsen's prescient masterpiece with this incredible group of actors as we build an English language production for London."
Jessica Brown Findlay, Priyanga Burford, Zachary Hart, Paul Hilton, Nigel Lindsay, and Shubham Saraf will all join the previously announced Matt Smith who will star as Dr Stockmann.
The plot of An Enemy of the People revolves around Dr. Thomas Stockmann and his fight to expose a polluted public bath while facing fierce opposition from the local townsfolk, who are more concerned with maintaining their economic interests than getting to the truth.
Booking & Theatre Info For An Enemy Of The People
The Duke of York’s Theatre is a small West End venue which sits on three levels and has a capacity of 642 seats. Due to the she small size of the auditorium certain seats have slightly restricted views of the stage (depending on the production), so it is recommended to study the seating plan in detail prior to purchase as this can benefit both the price you pay for your ticket and the overall experience within the theatre.
Premium seats in the theatre are located towards the front and centre of the Stalls, around rows E and F. Sitting too close to the stage is not recommended as it sits quite high and you will have to look up throughout the entire play. Seats at the rear are slightly restricted from the overhang from the Royal Circle which should also be noted however this is usually reflected in the price. Seats in the Royal Circle however offer excellent and unrestricted views from an elevated position and are recommended.
Good value can be found in the Row H bench on the third level in the Upper Circle which is ideal for bargain hunters looking to secure last minute theatre tickets or cheap tickets to An Enemy Of The People as despite being situated towards the rear of the theatre, they offer good overall sight-lines and are usually very reasonably priced. The Upper Circle also has some seats with restrictions but offers good value compared to some other seats within the venue.
