Back to the Future: The Musical has extended its run in the West End, with performances now due to continue at the Adelphi Theatre until at least July 21, 2024.
The critically acclaimed stage show is adapted from the much-loved 1980s Hollywood movie Back To The Future and tells the story of teenager Marty McFly, who unwittingly journeys 30 years back in time using his friend Doc Brown's DeLorean time machine. After landing in 1955, and to secure his future existence, Marty must ensure that his teenage parents find each other and fall in love before he can return to his old life in 1985.
John Rando directs the musical, which has a book by Bob Gale and features music by Glen Ballard and multi-Grammy Award winner Alan Silvestri featuring classic songs from the movie, including "Johnny B. Goode" and "The Power of Love".
The current cast of Back to the Future features Ben Joyce as Marty McFly and Cory English in the role of Doctor Emmett Brown. Other notable cast members include Sarah Goggin as Lorraine Baines, Jordan Pearson as Biff Tannen, Sophie Naglik as Jennifer Parker, Rhodri Watkins as Dave McFly, Oliver Nicholas as George McFly, Jay Perry as Goldie Wilson, Patricia Wilkins as Linda McFly, Lee Ormsby as Strickland, Stephen Leask as Alternate Doctor Emmett Brown and Elliott Evans as Alternate Marty McFly.
The remainder of the cast is made up of Tavio Wright, Ella Beaumont, Matthew Ives, Alexander Day, Grace Swaby-Moore, Reece Darlington-Delaire, Laura Mullowney, Sia Dauda, Adam Margilewski, Dylan Gordon-Jones, Helen Gulston, Connor Lewis, Bryan Mottram, Anna Murray, Louis Quinn, Georgia Tapp, and Alexandra Wright.

The Adelphi Theatre is a large West End venue that has a capacity of 1497 seats and three levels of seating. Ticket prices fluctuate throughout all three levels due to various overhangs and obstructions so studying the seating plan in detail before purchase is highly recommended to assist both for budget and customer experience, and value can sometimes be found by exploiting price band cut-off points within the venue. The best seats in the theatre are located towards the centre of the rows within each section.
For the best experience, the centre of the Dress Circle in the first few rows offers some spectacular and panoramic views of the stage, or for a more intimate and close-up experience and to catch detail in the actors’ expressions it is beneficial to sit in the centre section of the Stalls.
For those on a budget or just looking for cheap Back To The Future tickets, the front row of the Upper Circle often offers very good value and is regularly discounted however these seats do come with limited legroom but are well worth a look
