After a developmental run in Chicago last summer and a scheduled preview season at Theatre Royal Plymouth in July 2024, The Devil Wears Prada will open at the Dominion Theatre in the West End in October 2024.
The stage adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada will feature a musical score by Elton John and an award-winning creative team with direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, book by Kate Wetherhead, lyrics by singer-songwriter Shaina Taub, sound design by Gareth Owen, set design by Tim Hatley, costume design by Gregg Barnes, and lighting design by Bruno Poet.
The Devil Wears Prada is about discovering what truly matters and finding your purpose in life. The production is based on Lauren Weisberger's popular 2003 novel and the subsequent Academy Award-nominated 2006 Hollywood movie adaptation of the same name, starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
After Andy Sachs lands a dream job in the high-stakes and glamorous world of fashion journalism she quickly realises that working for New York Runway Editor-in-Chief Miranda Priestly is not exactly a walk in the park.
The show will perform a limited engagement at the Theatre Royal Plymouth in July 2024 before opening in the West End, with casting for the production set to be announced at a later date.
