A woman sits at the piano and begins to play at St Pancras International train station. Her music captivates the onlooking commuters, tourists, and, following a viral clip on social media, people all over the world. Behind the music though, is the incredible and inspirational story of a lifelong duet – The Ballad of Hattie and James.
Throughout their lives, Hattie and James have found themselves, for better or worse, inextricably linked, and cannot help but replay the shared experiences that have shaped them as human beings.
The Ballad of Hattie and James is an impassioned story from Samuel Adamson (Wife) at the Kiln Theatre that questions who gets to have their voice heard, and whether it's possible to ever settle the score.
