Player Kings Tickets - Noel Coward Theatre

Sir Ian McKellen will star as Falstaff in a new version of William Shakespeare’s Henry IV at the Noel Coward Theatre, adapted by the award-winning director and writer Robert Icke.

Welcome to England. A country divided. Crumbling leadership. Corruption is in the air.

Although Hal wasn't born to be king, now, it seems that he will be. War is on the horizon, and his father wishes for him to leave his friends behind in the seedy taverns of Eastcheap, most notably the infamous John Falstaff. Will Hal ever come good?

Shakespeare's two great history plays (Henry IV, parts 1 and 2) are now brought together in Player Kings, a new production that will reign over London’s West End for a limited twelve-week season only at the Noël Coward Theatre from April 2024.

Noel Coward Theatre Seating Plan

The Noel Coward Theatre is a medium size West End theatre which has a capacity of 960 seats and is built in a grand and traditional style. Due to the layout of the theatre, some views of the stage at the Noel Coward Theatre are restricted towards the ends of rows and in the higher sections of the venue because of its horseshoe shape.

Premium seats in the theatre are situated in the Stalls around the centre of rows F-G, although when searching for value, it is worth noting that the surrounding seats in this section of the theatre also offer good and clear views, and as most seats in the Stalls are priced similarly it can be beneficial to sit five or six rows back from the front to get the best visual experience. The front section of the Dress Circle is also a good option for good panoramic views of the stage.

There are also six boxes in the Noel Coward Theatre – 2 on the ground floor in the Stalls and a further 4 one level up in the Dress Circle which offer excellent views and offering a very close-up and personal experience.

The Upper Circle on the third level of the venue is considered very good value for those on a budget looking to book cheap Player Kings tickets as although legroom can be a little tight, it is possible to enjoy the production with a clear view of the stage over the safety rail. Other value can be found in the rear of the Stalls section where seats are sold at a discount regularly.

Are There Any Tickets To Player Kings That Should Be Avoided?

The Noel Coward Theatre has quite a few seats that do have restrictions so when buying tickets it is recommended that you study the seating plan before booking to make sure that you are happy with your purchase. The seats in row AA of the upper circle for example, and quite a few of the seats in the balcony feature quite severe restrictions and should possibly be avoided if possible.

Are Tickets Cheap To Buy?

Although tickets can start from as little as £30 it is worth noting that the Noel Coward Theatre has four tiers and there are quite a few seats in the cheaper sections of the upper circle and balcony that feature a restriction to your view so it is highly recommended that you study the seating plan before purchase to ensure that you are happy with your seats before submitting payment.

Is It Easy To Find Discount Tickets To Player Kings?

This is a popular show and public demand dictates whether discount tickets will be available or not. Discount tickets can sometimes be found through online promotions and bargain hunters looking to keep the price down should check the website regularly for updates and new offers. Booking in advance can also keep the price down with clear-view seats in the upper circle or slightly to the back and on the sides of the stalls or dress circle being good value during off-peak periods and for midweek performances.

When Is The Best Time To Book  Tickets To Productions At The Noel Coward Theatre?

The best value when booking all London theatre tickets can usually be found in midweek performances in the quieter months of November, January, and February when London traditionally has a lower footfall and producers are sometimes forced to reduce ticket prices to fill up the theatre as eight shows every single week is a demanding schedule and a lot of seats that need to be filled. The weeks following from school holidays are very often quiet in the theatre and can regularly see a downward movement in ticket prices bringing big savings.
