The scene is set in Basingstoke, in 1977 and director Simon Monk is banking on his new musical adaptation of the classic French play Phedre to be his come-back ticket.
French theatrical diva, Jacqueline Bremont has decided to make it the role of her life.
A few minor details remain to be ironed out however: she can’t dance, she can’t sing, and Simon has no intention of casting her for the role.
